Windsor Corney has some recollection of the searchlight demonstration behind the Armoury building. The equipment had been hauled in on a trailer and there was a noisy generator used for power. It cast a bluish haze near the ground and then projected far into the night sky. He recalls the plane flying above being tracked, but more than anything remembers being very impressed by the intense light.
