Eat it up - Wear it out - Make it do
War changes the focus of an economy. Priorities shift and nowhere is that seen more clearly than in the supply of necessities and
consumer goods. During World War II the government put into place a number of measures to insure Canadians would conserve and
make do in order to back the war effort. In many instances the measures were only put into place after the honour system of
conservation failed.
